The Girls in Science 4 SDGs International Platform was created following the Third Commemoration of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, and the first Girls in Science Panel. Girls from all around the world convened to share solutions for achieving equality in the sciences for sustainable development. The Panel presented an Outcome Document at the closing ceremony, which was approved by acclamation.
The Girls in Science 4 SDGs International platform, sponsored by the Royal Academy of Science International Trust (RASIT), seeks to give girls the opportunity to shape their own future and the future of their communities, and to be the lead innovators of tomorrow – TODAY.
Managed by young change-makers and passionate girls in science advocates from around the world, the Girls in Science 4 SDGs International Platform provides a space for youth to develop their understanding of the synergies between the Sustainable Development Goals, and to present their vision for utilising science to achieve the 2030 Agenda.
