The Girls in Science 4 SDGs International Platform welcomes all girls in science, young change makers, and those aspiring to make a positive contribution to the world to collaborate with us as we advance the representation of women and girls in science, and seek to expedite progress to achieve the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.
You will learn key leadership, organisational and diplomatic skills, as part of this movement affiliated with the Royal Academy of Science International Trust. In addition, gaining networking opportunities with UN officials, ambassadors, and scientists, as well as the friendship and support of similarly passionate youth change makers around the world.
All proactive and participatory Girls in Science members have the opportunity to speak at international events. In particular: the Commemoration of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science Forum, at the UN Headquarters, in New York.
All the comments and replies generated on our platform go straight to the desks of the UN Secretary General and President of the General Assembly, formulated as part of a report, for further discussion, implementation, and distribution to member countries.
Each year, RASIT acknowledges two of the most active members, awarding them a certificate, congratulating and thanking them for their many insightful recommendations during the previous year. In addition, RASIT provides recommendation letters for exceptional girls in science advocates, acknowledging volunteer hours and contributions.
We very much look forward to welcoming you as part of the Girls in Science team! For further questions, please reach out to us at girlsinscience@rasit.org.
